London Design Festival 2016

September 30th, 2016 by Debbie

This year’s festival might be over but that’s not going to stop us poring over the details to see if there are any ideas we can pinch for our own homes. Here are our highlights:

British design writer Max Fraser curated this year’s 100% Norway exhibition, with 17 exhibitors showcasing contemporary Norwegian design excellence. I’m completely in love with the Dong vessels and the Una lamp as i have a thing for curves in design. Plus, check out the sheer genius of the Organize system by Dare To Design. I’m sure we could all make space for one of these in our home…

The Bureau of Silly Ideas presented artists, sculptors and performers to name a few at the Brixton Design Trail. I have fallen for these rather eccentrically upholstered chairs:

The Electro Craft exhibition at the Shoreditch Design Triangle showcased the works of designers who blend beautiful objects with technology and electronics. The show is on until mid October if you in the area…I highly recommend it. I’d also suggest reading up on the pieces below in the links provided as the creatitvity and thought processes behind each work is just fascinating.
