Inspiration post: Blush

September 29th, 2015 by Debbie

I’ve always got my eye out for the next trend in interiors. during September I usually focus on warmer, cosier colours like reds and purples. However, a colour keeps popping out at me from all over the place – blush. Not your usual autumn warmer, this tone is a great way of keeping your home feeling fresh and bright in the darker months.

It’s versatile, fitting in well in your living room, kitchen or bedroom. Use it to accessorise or create a feature wall. Pair it with copper lamps and dark grey for a super contemporary look. Here’s a few ways you can make it work…

Freshen up your home office with a feature wall in blush. It’s a calm, soothing colour that will help you concentrate on your work, and you can treat yourself to new stationary to complement the tone! I like the sharp, black accessories dotted round the room to give it a bit of an edge.

A great way of adding this colour to your space is buying curtains in blush. It’s a lovely, airy colour that will look great in summer or winter. If you want to add a bit of texture, go for silk blush. Get them interlined to keep the cold out during winter.

Why not layer your pink? This beautiful pink bath tub adds a sense of warmth and fun to this gorgeous space. It gives the place a glowing vintage feel and would be the perfect place to relax after a long day.

Here’s a DIY idea – paint your old wooden chairs a beautiful blush pink. I love Nancy’s Blushes by Farrow and Ball. It’s a great way of freshening up your furniture and will add a splash of colour to your dining experience.
