Choose your options

Step 1: Decide your perfect width
Our pencil pleat curtains come in three widths: standard, large and extra-large. To work out which size you need just measure your pole and track width, then use this table to pick your perfect size:

My pole or track width is between: Choose width:
86cm and 123cm Standard
124cm and 177cm Large
178cm and 240cm Extra-Large

Step 2: Decide your ideal drop
There are four drops (lengths) available: 137cm, 183cm, 228cm and 274cm. The extra-long 274cm length curtains are only available in the large and extra-large widths.  Choose the drop that best suits your window.  It’s generally better to have curtains slightly too long than too short because they’ll keep your room warmer and look better.

Step 3: Select your size
Using your calculated measurements above select your size from the table above and click "add to basket" to complete your order.

NB: Although we always strive to get our measurements as accurate as possible, there is a 1.5cm tolerance for our ready made curtains, so please bear this in mind before ordering curtains where the precision of the length is important.

PLEASE NOTE: Before you pull the tape on the curtains the width will be much wider. You should pull the tape to your desired width. Before the tapes are pulled the width in each curtain is as follows:

Standard

Large

Extra Large

116cm (46")

168cm (66")

228cm (90")

Pencil Pleat
The pencil pleat - our most popular heading - is a simple and versatile heading. If you’re confused by heading choice, this is the one for you. It is smart but relaxed and versatile. You can adjust both the finished width and the height a little which means you might even find a window for them in your next home.  Upon delivery, form the curtain pleats by pulling the heading tape strings at the end.

The pencil pleat heading is 3 inches deep on our ready made curtains.

This heading is suitable for both poles and tracks.

All other headings and fabrics
If you'd like curtains with a different heading, different lining or different fabrics, please visit our made to measure curtain section.

Cotton lining
Our single layer poly/cotton lining will help your blinds or curtains hang beautifully, and will protect the fabric from sunlight damage.

Blackout lining
Our single layer blackout lining will keep the sun out of your room on those summer mornings, making it perfect for any bedroom.  Blackout lining is also even more thermally efficient than a thermal lining and protects your fabric from sun damage so you get three perks for the price of one. Our blackout lining is white or ivory, not black.

100% Cotton
Our ready made curtain fabrics are 100% cotton with a choice of poly/cotton or blackout cotton linings.

Curtain Hooks
Your curtains are shipped complete with a set of curtain hooks so you can hang your curtains up straight away.

Pencil Pleat
Your ready made curtains are fitted with a pencil pleat tape heading which you will need to ‘pull’ to the desired width once you unpack your curtains.  Instructions are included on the packaging.

Linings
A plain cotton lining will help your curtain hang well and offer some sun damage protection to your fabric.
A blackout lining will prevent any light from passing through the curtain to help keep the light out in the mornings.  In addition, a blackout lining offers good thermal insulation and better sun damage protection to your curtain.

I am extremely pleased with the curtains, they are made very well and hang beautifully. Also the promptness of service - I ordered on the 26th April and hung up on the day of arrival 11th May, three windows.
Pat O, Suffolk

The material is a good quality, the curtains are extremely well made and the service was very quick (especially since I live in Australia!!). Ordering from abroad I was worried that the curtains would either be slightly too short or too long but your instructions on the website regarding how to measure for curtains were millimetre perfect!
Emma R, Australia

I have been impressed with the whole process and appreciated the text updates for the delivery. I was a bit nervous about ordering curtains online, but you have delivered far above my expectations. I am delighted with them!

The safest and most efficient way of cleaning your curtains or blinds is to vacuum them in situ with a clean attachment.   However you may feel that your curtains need a deep clean after several years, in which case our curtains are dry clean only. This process can shrink the fabrics by up to 3%.  Our curtains or blinds should never go into a washing machine.  Please note we take no responsibility for any shrinkage incurred should you wish to gently dry clean your curtains or blinds after a number of years.
Show the dry cleaner this symbol and they will know which treatment your curtains need:

Ironing
We strive to deliver your fabric in the best possible condition. However, natural fabrics can crush easily, so there is a minor chance they could be slightly creased on arrival. We recommend you simply hang them up straight away and the creases will disappear before your eyes. Ironing the fabric could be damaging and ruin your curtains.

Stretching
Natural fabrics can stretch over time, especially loose weave linens. This is hardly noticeable unless the length of your curtains or blinds is critical. The added length can be up to 1cm.

Light Fastness and Fading
Our natural fabrics have varying degrees of light fastness depending on the range they are from. The best way to avoid fading and protect the colour of your fabric is to order a lined or interlined curtain.

Ready Made Curtain Order Returns and Refunds

Our aim is to ensure that you're entirely happy with your purchase. If you're not completely satisfied with your curtains or you'd like to exchange them for another size or colour, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Before returning your curtains to us, please contact us at returns@naturalcurtaincompany.com within 7 working days of receiving the goods and we'll send a returns form over to you. Please enclose this form in the same package as the goods you're returning. We offer a free collection service which we will arrange at a convenient time to you. We can collect from you Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and can offer a 4 hour time slot and even collect from a different address if that makes life easier for you.  If we are unable to collect from you at the time arranged and agreed with you, you will need to return your order at your own cost before receiving a replacement or a refund. Please ensure that the goods are well packaged as we cannot offer a refund or replacement if the goods are damaged.

To avoid disappointment, ensure that the goods are packed carefully to avoid any damage. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds unless the returned goods are unused (i.e. the tapes are not pulled and the fabric is in its original condition) – and all packaging that came with the order is returned at the same time (the curtains do not necessarily have to be in the packaging).

Your money will be paid in to your bank account a maximum of 14 days after we've received the goods.

If there's a significant problem with the quality of your curtains, and you'd prefer not to receive a replacement, we'll collect the faulty goods and give you a full refund within 14 days of making the collection.

Cotton lining will help your blinds or curtains hang beautifully, and will protect the fabric from sunlight damage.

Blackout lining is perfect for the bedroom, keeping the sunlight out when you need a lie-in. This lining also has thermal qualities so not only will it keep the sunlight out but it will keep the warmth in. Our blackout lining comes in cream, not black.
